Kensington Park

Kensington Park is North of Ann Arbor.  It's a beautiful park, and I went there for the first time yesterday.

The rolling hills were beautiful and The park makes a home for many Sandhill Cranes.

Here are a few images of them.

They love to preen.  And it must have been bath time, because it was difficult to get a shot of them doing anything but digging at their feathers.

This one had two heads!!!  Ok, not really, but they were almost doing a dance.
But finally, this one decided it was time to rest.
There were other birds in the park as well.  Cardinals and Chickadees to name a few.
The Chickadees will eat right out of your hand!

And, if wouldn't be complete without the occasional spider web.  The spider was unavailable at this moment.

There were several Great Blue Herons nesting in this tree.

Parks are such a break from reality.  I highly recommend them!
