Squirrel Crazy

Maybe I've been hanging aound my dog too long, but I'm really loving squirrels these days.  I haven't started chasing them yet.

Every now and then I just have to let you see my doggie.  She is the sweetest dog in the universe.

 I photographed a Senior the other day and fell in love with her boots! 

Fall

The temperatures yesterday and today have been in the high 60's.  Perfect.

  So, I took a walk this afternoon and decided to throw my little camera in my pocket in case I saw any owls, hawk, deer or other strange happenings.  But what I found was breath taking.

Every corner I turned seemed to be more beautiful.

And as I walked I was a little sad that this beautiful color is only here for a short time.

But I was lucky enough to get out on this warm day and enjoy it.  Then, I turned one last corner.

And I realized that Dorothy was right.  There's no place like home.

Pretty Kitty

For the past few days I've been in Photoshop playing with  texture.  So far, my attempts need major help for some reason.  I guess I need practice. However, I rather liked this one.

Texture

This guy was a little afraid of me and my camera. He ran up the tree and hid for awhile. But that's not why I'm posting his picture.




I'm learning how to add texture to your picture and I've been playing with different ways to do it.



I still need some practice, but until I master the "texture technique", I'll enjoy these little squirrels that are taking over my yard.

Who Said?

Who said kayaking was just for Summer? My sister and I enjoyed a nice autumn trip around the lake last week.

Acorn Time

We have lots of Oak trees in our yard. And they produce lots of acorns in the fall. And that brings lots of squirrels. And nothin's cuter then watchin a squirrel eat an acorn, then bury another.

I love their little fingers.

Thief!

When you throw a cracker out for the ducks, and a gull comes along and snatches it, you just go get another cracker.

Sleepy Swan

The swans looked happy today. They were friendly and almost looked as though they wanted me to photograph them. So I did.

This guy tried to look mean, but he was the picture of beauty. But then he looked like he was getting tired of the whole thing.

And he started to nod off....

And went right to sleep.

Good Morning Glory!

This little morning glory just opened up. It still looks a little wrinkled from it's sleep last night. Not that I'd know what that feels like.

My neighbors asked me to join them for a sunset boat ride this evening. It was beautiful. The moon was on one side of the lake...

And the Sun was setting on the other side of the lake.

I hate to see summer come to an end.

Crosby

I went to Crosby Gardens this evening. I love that park. They changed the name a few years ago, but it will always be Crosby to me.

Cute little bug

I found this little guy on my window this afternoon... he's cute. Probably because he was on the outside looking in.

Relax

Sipping a glass of wine and watching the sunset listening to ducks and crickets. What more could anyone want.

hello pita!

I've tried to make pita bread in the past, but could never get the "pocket".

Today, however, I did it right and made a pocket.

Then we filled it with scrambled eggs.

And it was good.

Angels

Some people don't like cemetaries. I find them peaceful for some reason. I love wandering through older ones and looking at the stones and the dates.. wondering why so many young children had such short lives so many years ago. While visiting a friend, I found these angels in the cemetary next to her. While grave yards might not be your thing, who doesn't love an angel?

Fish!

Some dark clouds were in the sky today. I see a little guy doesn't care, he wants him some fish!

I just learned how to make a Mandala in Photoshop. My first attempt. I may be hooked.
